THE NATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL SIGNS A COOPERATION AND PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT WITH THE PROMETHEUS INSTITUTE FOR DEMOCRACY AND HUMAN RIGHTS TO PROMOTE THE CULTURE OF HUMAN RIGHTS<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rabat, April 09, 2021<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Prometheus Institute for Democracy and Human Rights and the National Council for Human Rights have signed a cooperation and partnership agreement on citizenship and human rights education in schools. school and university education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Signed this agreement on Friday, April 9, 2021, Mrs. Amina Bouayach, President of the Council, and Mr. Yassin Bazzaz, General Coordinator of the institute. This agreement aims to raise awareness and promote a culture of human rights among the student community in schools and universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the terms of the agreement, the National Human Rights Council and the Prometheus Institute for Democracy and Human Rights are working together to achieve the objectives agreed upon in the agreement, and will launch a series of joint initiatives and activities aimed at the dissemination and promotion of the culture of human rights among this community. In this sense, the institute will also fully assume the commitment and responsibility to create and revitalize human rights clubs in Moroccan educational institutions and universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this occasion, Mr. Yassin Bazzaz recalled that the establishment of this cooperation mechanism reflects a motivation of the institute to broaden the reflection on human rights involving young people and contributing to the improvement of quality of the education system by emphasizing social development, awareness of democratic citizenship and human rights values. This considerably facilitates the anchoring and access to rights as well as the prevention of their violations in the long term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It should be mentioned that this partnership is part of concerted efforts between national institutions and civil society to strengthen the human rights system and work to protect and develop it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
