The Civil Society Organizations Sustainability Index (CSOSI) assesses, each year, the potential, viability and development constraints of civil society organizations in Africa, the Middle East and North Africa. North (MENA), in Central Europe, in Eastern Europe as well as in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
In Morocco, the CSOSI is working in close collaboration with the Prometheus Institute for Democracy and Human Rights to set up a comprehensive assessment, based on seven dimensions, considered essential to sectoral sustainability, namely: legal environment, organizational capacity, financial viability, advocacy, service delivery, infrastructure and public image.
This report highlights both the achievements of Moroccan civil society and the obstacles it faces during 2017. It also identifies its needs from a perspective of capacity building and the defense of civic space.
